Great news Joomla 4.0 Alpha is now available to test. This is the first stage of the exciting new Joomla release.
Please note that this is not meant for production but is only to be used as an early evaluation copy. So if your a developer then now is the time to check out what’s new in Joomla 4. Joomla 4 Alpha can be downloaded from Github.

- Removal of deprecated functions from Joomla 3.x
- Reworked installer for a quicker and more intuitive user experience
- New templates using Bootstrap 4
- Reworked Application for Consoles
- Integration of Joomla Framework packages
- Jquery is now at version 3
- SimplePie has been removed
- Joomla! 4.0 ships with PHPMailer 6.0.
